Maxwell Bassman

Maxwell is an Executive Director at SphereCrest Capital, where he specializes in arranging commercial debt and equity financing across a wide range of property types, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, senior housing, and hospitality. He is deeply connected to national, regional, and local capital sources, including agency lenders (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public debt funds, and hard money lenders.

Maxwell brings particular expertise in structuring capital solutions for multifamily construction projects. Prior to joining SphereCrest, he founded Maxim Capital Partners and Piper Crown Construction, where he led the development and construction of residential and commercial properties throughout the Philadelphia region.

Earlier in his career, Maxwell served as a key executive at Momentum Development and Construction, overseeing finance, accounting, and daily operations. During his tenure, he successfully developed and constructed over 50 single-family homes in Philadelphia.

With over 17 years of experience in real estate finance and accounting, Maxwell has worked on more than $750 million in transactions. He began his career at Bassman, Lasrow, Adelman & Weiss, PC, a boutique advisory firm in Blue Bell, PA, where he focused on complex real estate and construction-related accounting. He also held a position at LCOR Incorporated, a national institutional-grade real estate private equity firm, where he managed financial reporting and supported asset and property management for a $500 million multifamily portfolio.

Maxwell is a graduate of Penn State University, holding a B.S. in Accounting. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a private pilot. He is an active member of the Building Industry Association (BIA) of Philadelphia and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
